With so many businesses affected by the global pandemic, we want to do all we can at Thinkific to support those in need. For entrepreneurs who need to move their businesses online quickly, we have launched a focused program to help.

The Thinkific $1 Million Entrepreneur Growth Fund is designed to stimulate the small business and freelance economy by helping entrepreneurs rapidly create and market online courses. We’re pairing entrepreneurs with mentors to guide them through the process of setting up a course and committing $1,000,000 to cover the cost of these services.

Who is eligible?

The program is designed to engage both entrepreneurs who need help, and mentors who can provide expertise:

Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs who want to teach online for the first time, but don’t know where to start are eligible to apply for support. If you have an existing business or expertise, the program is designed to help you productize your knowledge through courses. Business owners who have existing courses are also eligible. If you’ve started your course but need mentorship and funding to move forward, this program will help get unstuck and on the path to profitability.

Mentors

Mentors who have expertise working with digital education products are eligible to apply and get paid to help out. We’re specifically looking for those with experience doing course site setup and content creation. If you’re a web designer, developer, curriculum designer, copywriter, or graphic designer, we want to hear from you! If you’re a seasoned course creator and know what it takes to plan, build, and launch a course, you’re also eligible to apply.

What’s included in the program?

The program is designed to help entrepreneurs in three distinct ways:

1) Setting up a course site
This includes the design and technical set up of a course website, tips on what to put on your sales page, and copywriting coaching to articulate the value of your course.

2) Creating course curriculum and content
Mentors will guide entrepreneurs on how to best map out a lesson plan, create their first pieces of course content, and recommend the best content formats to use for their topic and audience.

3) Acquiring students
We’re matching participants’ advertising spend to help attract their first students. We’re also providing premium training on how to use digital ads to market a course, to help ensure that advertising efforts turn into course enrollments and revenue.

Why did we create this program?

We saw a unique opportunity to generate positive impact by connecting the entrepreneurs in our ecosystem directly to each other. With the changing market trends, there are entrepreneurs looking to start businesses and go online, SMBs and freelancers looking to provide digital services, and students looking for online education. We created the fund to add momentum to that flywheel, stimulate the online education economy, and leverage the power of entrepreneurs helping other entrepreneurs in this time of crisis.
